Is it now the Pleasant Liver Stake?

Will the church newsroom say that they created a new stake on Sunday?

"liver has to be VERY FRESH to be enjoyed..."

Do they grow Fava beans around Livermore?

It's near wine country so I know you can also get a nice Chianti.

Asking for a friend.

THAT STATEMENT WOULD BE TRUE BUT NOT ACCURATE

There are so many new houses and apartments! Livermore is expanding outward so quickly. This is extremely interesting news.

I'm from Pleasanton. We had four wards when I was around. This news hits close to home.

400+ families have left both stakes since the Pandemic began. Old Pleasanton stake was down to just four wards, three in Pleasanton and one in Dublin. The combined stake is Livermore, so no more Pleasanton stake.

Sharapata, you mentioned that 400 families left. Did these people move or just quit attending?

Thanks

400 member households off the rolls from both stakes, presumably most moving out of the area.

I've heard this excuse that Mormons can't afford to live in CA anymore and are moving out of state. Yet, as Eric3 just pointed out, the population in these areas is growing. **Somebody** obviously can afford to live in CA.

Besides, older established families who already own homes and have low property taxes from Prop 13 can afford to live in CA more easily than anyone else.

Plus, Americans in general are moving much less often than they used to.

I'm not buying that 400 LDS families suddenly up and moved. No doubt some did, but I think a lot of those families simply ghosted LDS Inc. Retirees may move to Utah or to be near children or whatever, but if they are the core of the ward, it is in trouble anyhow. Retirees have a bad habit of dying in 10 or 20 years. They are not a viable long term ward foundation.

Mormons are dying off in California and likely moving to other states if they are the grown up kids of mormons. Easier on the bank account to live away from that state.

Real estate prices in the Bay Area have been astounding lately. Houses in my neighborhood sell for $300,000 to $400,000 more than the asking price. These aren't mansions. I've noticed over the years that whenever the real estate prices in CA go up, Mormons sell and move back to Utah. How do I know? These are my relatives or acquaintances.

Good riddance.

If they give the new combined stake a new name, then they will announce the organization of a new stake.

Indisputable "proof" of uninterrupted growth in momoland.

I grew up there on one of the last farms in Pleasanton.

LDS maps shows it as the Livermore stake

Also I would say at least 60% of the kids I was in primary with back in the day are now out.
