The problem, as I see it, is this:

If that which is reported in the KJV version of the bible is correct then Jesus of Nazareth atoned for A L L the sins of mankind.
Therefore organized religion is superfluous and not actually needed.
Organized religion kiss your money stash goodbye!
If that which is reported in the KJV version of the bible is in error then no matter what organized religion does it will not be enough
It is my firm belief that having been born you and I are ENTITLED to die.
Everything else is icing on the cake
Organized religion does not have a leg to stand on.
They are all man made and phony
I give permission for all of you to agree with me

My problem with the term "organized religion" is that (almost invariably) it implicitly refers exclusively to Christianity.

I cannot recall any instance where I have heard of or read the term "organized religion" which included Hinduism (I was raised mostly Hindu/Vedanta, with a great deal of metaphysics of various kinds added), Judaism (what I am now), Islam, Native American and global tribal religions, the Asian kinds of religion (Buddhism, Taoism, etc.).

Because of this, I have always thought that the purported claims of the NT Jesus were obviously bogus, because I really don't think a historical Jesus would have had Buddhists or Apaches or Hindus in mind when he spoke.
