Cosmological models that seem the most plausible to you?
And sources you trust most to answer them?

A. Is there a God?

I know, define God.

Until we get a better explanation for dark energy and dark matter other than “it must be there because none of our measurements make any sense without it”, none of the cosmological models are plausible. Declaring that 95% of the universe is Mystery Mush is not a model.

Sources? How about cosmologists, astronomers and physicists.

Yes. She’s Black, and makes volcanos spit lava.

"Until we get a better explanation for dark energy and dark matter other than “it must be there because none of our measurements make any sense without it”, none of the cosmological models are plausible. Declaring that 95% of the universe is Mystery Mush is not a model."

You appear to be confused about scientific modeling. In the first place, a scientific model is always related to an underlying theory, such that the model is an imperfect, heuristically motivated, mathematical expression of the theory, or part of the theory. Such models can address mysteries--like dark matter and dark energy--by incorporating theoretically based quantities (e.g. of DM and/or DE), or (when available) experimentally determined quantities. Thus, to suggest that a cosmological model (or its underlying theory) is per se "implausible" because of a difficulty in understanding dark matter and/or dark energy is incorrect. Science generates, expands, fine-tunes, confirms and/or discards its theories through proposed models.

This is not to say that scientific modeling is not without practical dangers. Here is quote from Ernest Nagel's classic treatise, *The Structure of Science: Problems in the Logic of Scientific Explanation* that helps to sort out scientific modeling and theory.

"The formulation of a theory in terms of some model is nevertheless not free from dangers, and a model may be a potential intellectual trap as well as an invaluable intellectual tool. . . "

"It must nevertheless be acknowledged that there is no way of telling in advance whether a given model will prove to be an obstacle to the fruitful development of theory, since it is usually only after a model has been tried that one can tell which of its features suggest inquiries leading into blind alleys and which are heuristically valuable. The only point that can be affirmed with confidence is that a model for a theory is not the theory itself. In consequence, the adequacy of a theory as an instrument for systematic explanation and prediction cannot be taken without further scrutiny to establish the physical reality of every aspect of the substantive model in terms of which the theory may be interpreted. This is obvious when several models are known for the same theory, but it is equally true when only a single model is available." (pages 115-116)

Despite the above, I certainly agree with you that the mysteries surrounding dark matter and dark energy seriously impact and limit our understanding of the cosmos. Yet, the big bang theory, for example; or the steady state theory; or Penrose's cyclical theory; or the multiverse theory, can all be investigated through modeling not withstanding scientific ignorance as to dark energy and dark matter.

"This is not to say that scientific modeling is not without practical dangers."

If it involves wearing nothing but a white lab coat, it depends on the model.

If I knew for sure that I could trust God to have my back when necessary, I would be religious.

But I've tried, and come to the conclusion that he can't be counted on when the going gets rough. So I consider myself to be religiously indifferent.

We'll, I traded my six-pack for a pony keg a while back, but no, I'm not pregnant.....as far as I know.

As for the hair, I have no plans on cutting it. Everyone say's it looks good and they love the side burns too. I call it my once upon a time in Hollywood look. I was watching my DVD of Woodstock the other day and thought "all the guys have hair and burns like me!" Took me right back to the times! Good times!

Plus it makes me look cool when I'm playing my Gibson 60's SG in the band :)

and they love it, BUT they were in Costco a week ago and they have the NEW VERSION. They decided against buying it, but my daughter knew my boyfriend and I were on our way (it is in Ogden, so it is an hour trip or so) and called me and asked me to get it for her to give her husband for Christmas, but I decided I'm giving it to them. They swear by them! I don't cook at home much. I hate cooking any longer. But I said, you can give me your old one and they want one for here and one for when they are in Alaska.

Is there a God? I just don't know. I don't worry about it. I tend to side on the attitude of wait a minute????? Especially when I hear things about praying for help and God will give you what you need and all that stuff. My "husband" is still gay and I just haven't been able to figure that one out yet! (sarcasm)

In a simplified world where everything is blocks of colors instead the blended, complex, confusing, wonderful world we live in where gender isn't a simplification into blocks, Legos have penises like tentacles connecting and building that simplified world.

The opposite, however, is also true. Sometimes a Lego block is just a Lego block.
