Apparently MORmONS were using the Church Handbook of Instructions Fatwah on masks as an excuse to not wear face masks during pandemic, so they changed the arbitrary rules.

Yes, only special members get a special invitation to go to the temple for a 2nd annointing. We don't want young people getting into the habit of thinking they can do it for themselves.
