I'm not even going to rewrite the subject line ..

I really couldn't hardly believe it was in the first ad on a John Dehlin Podcast, geezers. Talk about bold.

It's like they're desperate and behind the 8-ball now!

C'mon, tell the truth, you really could not have seen this one coming eh?

What the hell, Joseph Smith hated the local Presbyterian preacher presiding at his older brother's funeral condemning his dear beloved Alvin in the most public way possible.
Talk about the ultimate double-crossing!

Thanks for the laugh. I'm never disappointed by human reactions to their machines.

Al Gore also got badly conned (Confidence Trick) by the wind fan "fake" generator system of tiny tiny multiple computer fan motor designs. On the "Where Is Confidence Trick Today" thread.

Zee stupid human izz the maybe most dangerous modern threat theze (pun) daze.

The corrected exact LDS site comeuntochrist.org seems to be more accurate but either one works with their chosen (SEO) search engine optimization.

The "Come Unto Christ" tag is however ambiguous as the LDS church (small c) needs it to be, eh?

It might just as well say give us ten percent of your gross for Jesus Christ sake!

So let's recap - you're saying that LDS Inc placed an ad for their "comeuntoChrist.org" website on a John Dehlin podcast? It would be nice if you said that in a single sentence, instead of us having to pick pieces out of the word salad, in two separate posts no less, to try and construct what you are talking about.

And I still haven't the foggiest idea what dear departed Alvin has to do with an LDS Inc ad.

I will note that caffiend achieved the near impossible by adding a post even more obscure than what Josephs Myth typically writes, and that's saying something. He was apparently trying to own the libs, since Alvin and Al Gore start with the same two letters. Seeing zero reason why Alvin was in the first post, I see even less reason why Gore is in the second one. Congratulations.

I took a look at the comeuntochrist web site and noticed something interesting. Interesting to me, at least.

There was a section labeled "How believing changes lives", following by 8 photos. Click on the photo, and get a quote about how wonderful that person's life is now that they are Mormon.

There are three men and five women. All three men are Black. One played rugby. Typical Mormon males <yes, sarcasm>

Three or four of the women appear to be caucasian, not that I saw that as significant.

It appeared that all 8 were people under 30. Not sure if any were married. A few of the quotes mentioned family, but not sure if they were referring to birth family or marital family.

In any case, the Q15 really seem to be going after a younger, diverse, single demographic, at least with that part of their web site. Good luck with that.

ADon't know why you think rugby is so unusual. I used to play and I knew several other people in the ward who played, some at high level.

The LDS is long established in the South Sea Islands, New Zealand, South Africa, Wales, England etc, where it is played.

The top rated rugby player of all time Jonah Lomu was a church member.

I even heat there is a rugby culture in Utah. That "Forever Strong" film is based around it.

So not sure what the big deal is.

Actually, I think caffiend should be applauded for exercising the enormous self-control necessary to avoid bringing Colin Kaepernick into the mix.

As Jordan is tormented by Kamanev in the closet and Trotsky under the bed, so is caffiend seized by irrational fear when he sees the face of Colin in his coffee.

RFM mostly speaks, not John Dehlin.
I'm not one of their biggest fans but some folks definitely connect.

You know the hate uncle Joe had for one Presbyterian minister that lasted a passion of an entire lifetime..

Salads are bad enough but when they are almost entirely iceberg lettuce there is zero nutritional value.

The Book Of Mormon..

Four little words that a multi trillion (unknown amount) dollar organization cannot deal with.

A mess that they distilled and created for themselves.

Not their fault, look at what maybe happened mimicking Smith's behavior and techniques?

MormØŽ-ism now desperately reaching for the draping curtains around their senile wizard and his terribly failed sorcery.

It's not boldness (algorithms), it's marketing

As far as double crossing...
That's how Mormonism exists

Carry your own cross to the crossroads

Mormonism persists to cross life out
To interFEAR with progression
