According to the Old Testament Moses recarved the ten commandments.
Could he have possibly carved them in cuneiform on clay tablets?
The time period fits and so does that technology.

It's a good thing he saved the broken pieces in that box he had lying around.

A Hebrew raised in Egypt writes in a language the Hebrews and Egyptians cannot read. That makes sense.

But why not Vedic Hindi? Why not Shang Dynasaty Chinese? Why not Cretan Linear A?

If you are going to think "outside the box," you'll have to explain--without reference to pseudo-science--why your theory is better than other possibilities in no-box land.

Don't worry. Jesus spoke English.

So did Moses have an appointment with God so he knew what writing materials he needed to haul up the mountain to take notes?

Or, ignoring LW's admonition above, did "God" magically give Moses the Ten Commandments already in stone (pun intended) and then magically supplied him with a writing tool, if anyone should ask.

I know. Magicians create illusions all the time.

That makes about as much sense as the rest of the story! You'd think God could have given him something that wouldn't break so easily though.

I guess God was too obsessed making rules about everyone having to kiss His rear.

It is an ancient form of writing and if Moses actually existed is it possible that this was his written language?

Yes its possible, just not likely, especially with no evidence indicating such. In that respect, its "possible" that Moses was was transexual, impregnated by god, given an abortion by satan, and wrote the big 10 in Morse code.

…it’s a sin, a great sin, to repeat these truths outside of the temple!!

I have some other questions that are just as--if not more--pressing and historically informed:

According to the Old Testament, Eglon was so fat that a knife plunged into his stomach was buried completely. Is it possible that God invented Twix so that Eglon could get so large and then took them from the Earth because of Israel's wickedness?

According to the Old Testament, Eve was seduced by the devil in the form of a serpent. Since we know sea cucumbers predate snakes in the fossil record, is it possible the devil actually appeared as a sea cucumber?

According to the Old Testament, God consumed the altar Elijah built in the contest with the priests of Baal with fire from heaven. Is it possible that this altar was actually a cheap IKEA Bnörjk from the future that God time-travelled back to ancient Israel just to make his job easier? The technology fits. I mean, that things went up in FLAMES like it was made out of matchsticks. You know, if it actually existed.

I bare humble witness that ‘flames’ existed in Old Testament times.
