I love Ricky Gervais. If you haven't seen his show Afterlife, you should check it out. Its very good.

His movie The Invention of Lying is actually one of the things that made me start realizing how religion is just man-made. I know its just a funny comedy movie, but it really makes one think.

I second that. I love Ricky Gervais. I recommend the Ricky Gervais show (it’s free on YouTube now), I’ve never laughed so much.

Thats the main answer to your question. Comedy.

Oh, and cats. My cat died recently and it was devastating. I tend to like people who like animals.

Fair point.

I get comfort from the fact that all of my needs are met. I have a lovely, sane family. I have meaningful work. I have my health.

And I wake up every morning to having my sweet, elderly cat sleeping, curled up on my abdomen. Somehow the rise and fall of my stomach does not bother him. I guess he finds that comforting.
