I am one of those introverts who can totally fake it, I had to learn to make a living. At times it is no longer faking it if I'm with the right crowd.

My current yellow Lab is a massive extrovert. Our previous one was the opposite, she would say hi and then retreat to a corner. Our current one wants constant attention from any stranger she meets, go figure.
