Regarding gossip, a long time back a GA taught that we should ( must ?) ask ( can’t remember all)

is it true (truthful)?

Is it Kind ?

Is it uplifting?

'funny' how some sayings last with us, isn't it ?!

I recently heard some of the most shocking gossip ever about a ward member. I heard it from someone who heard it from someone who heard it from someone. I shared it with others. I felt a twinge of guilt but it was somehow very satisfying to share gossip about a TBM who pushed perfection and was very judgmental but ended up doing the very thing he chastised and harshly judged others about.

There's something really horribly wonderful about hearing and sharing really good gossip. It's not kind or uplifting but deliciously shocking and irresistible, and sometimes avenging!

I'm positive he was lifting what a previous GA had said, but that might be a challenge to locate ('down the memory hole' as we say...)
