Kudos to Mormonleaks, which previously tied the 13 shell companies to the Mormon church. A number of measures were used to identify the ties, including the fact that the domain name for each shell company was linked to the church-owned Intellectual Reserve, Inc. At the time the article was written (May, 2018) the combined investment portfolios were worth $32,769,914,000.00 .

https://mormonleaks.io/wiki/index.php?title=Investment_Portfolios_Connected_to_the_Mormon_Church

The 13 shell companies are:

Ashmore Wealth Management, LLC

Argyll Research, LLC

Clifton Park Capital Management, LLC

Cortland Advisers, LLC

Elkfork Partners, LLC

Flinton Capital Management, LLC

Glen Harbor Capital Management, LLC

Green Valley Investors, LLC

Meadow Creek Investment Management, LLC

Neuburgh Advisers, LLC

Riverhead Capital Management, LLC

Tiverton Asset Management, LLC

Tyers Asset Management, LLC

See the above link if you would like more details about each shell company.

I think my list was more inspired.

They should have consulted with me first and I would have charged them more money.

Yeah, their list sounds respectable, doesn't it? I love how they came up with a variety of names including "Investment Mangement," "Asset Management," "Advisors," etc. They were really trying to pull the wool over everyone's eyes.

According to the website "Wheat and Tares," --

"The Salt Lake Tribune article describes how this developed. Internal Church investment managers noticed that the fund reporting was attracting attention, and took steps to conceal the amounts, to register LLCs in other states, to choose names that weren’t easily associated with the Church. All this to avoid the negative publicity that the Church feared if the size of its stock portfolio became public. Here’s a creepy allegation: 'And when Ensign Peak obtained the signatures of business managers over the LLCs, it gave them only signature pages and not the complete documents.' Employees were being asked to sign documents that they weren’t allowed to read. That’s a huge red flag in corporate practices and after the MormonLeaks information became public, two of those business managers resigned in protest. They were replaced, and the pattern continued until publicity and the SEC forced the change."

https://www.sltrib.com/religion/2023/02/22/how-why-lds-church-hid-its/ (a subsribers-only article.)

ETA: I'm amazed that they got anyone qualified to run these shell companies. Heck, I never sign anything unless I either read it thoroughly, or at least skim it to make sure that I'm not getting cheated of anything. How can a business person sign just the last page, without seeing the entire document? How church-broke do you have to be to do something so foolish?

From Summer:
"I'm amazed that they got anyone qualified to run these shell companies."

Did any of those managers really run them? They were shells. No assets; no decisions, etc.

They should reduce EVERYTHING
And also be reduced to nothing

Mormon church's false claims of truth and honesty

Leaving myself a list of things to follow-up on later, some light reading or something when I can't sleep. And yes, I know the mormonleaks ppl aggregated all this into their own spreadsheet, but sometimes I like to look into the sources of things.

Seems they spend a large amount of time doing this and not much time seeking further light and knowledge to expand the gospel teachings since the time of JS.

IF Dusty Rusty did not know this was happening, as President of the organization he needs to step down or be fired. As the spokesperson for Jesus something is wrong or the Church needs to be teaching this side of Jesus we do not see. The corporate Jesus.

My question and concern is I cannot support or sustain these top 3 guys plus the apostle who was in Presiding Bishopric. That means no more temple recommends unless I lie like they do. And I try to be honest with people around me plus honest with myself. Not like Dusty Rusty.

If incompetence and corrupt intent were grounds for firing in the LDS corporation, GBH and cronies should have been fired after the Mark Hofmann forgeries and murders.

And Dallin Oaks and BKP should have been fired after the September Six fiasco (Dallin actually offered to resign).

I could go on. So should somebody be fired? Sure. Will it happen? Not a snowball's chance.

I think in the Parable of the Talents, the ones that were praised by the 'master' were the ones that took the talents and created shell companies and magnified their talents probably by creating derivatives and lending practices like fractional reserve banking. The villain in the story hid it so he didn't lose it.
