Just wondering how church members would readily accept the held Mormon belief that God will call his leader home (death) before such prophet commits sins to lead the church astray.

If they want to test elders to renew drivers' licenses, it seems fair the drivers of the country should be subject to the same tests.

What I find interesting is the leaders always seem so afraid to die. What are they afraid of? My uncle became a SP after he was a heretic until age 50 or so. He was SO AFRAID TO DIE. My dad wasn't afraid to die and he never wanted a high calling. He liked callings like locking the church at night.

There us no way the saints would see it as divine intervention to redirect the glorious work. No matter what. It must always be a sign that the deceased was faithful in all his days and was needed on the other side. That thing about leading astray is pure window dressing.

I think he's well past the stage where his demise, under any circumstance, could be called 'suddenly.'

It's not me, but somewhere, someone is upset that it's taking so long...  Or maybe I'm just a bit miffed that every time my ex-wife calls me, she says, "goddam it, why are you still breathing!" when I answer, and then hangs up.

He doesn't answer sudden calls.

He's never been called to do anything.

He couldn't even find his way home.
