I have had this pop up several times lately. Today in a crossword of all places: "The second W in WWJD" was the hint.
WWJD is not people actually wondering what Jesus would do. This is not people supposing or guessing as a means to ensure doing the right thing. This is people claiming Jesus would do things the way they themselves want them done. Jesus wants this law, for example.
WWJD is a way to rubber stamp approval of your agenda on Jesus behalf. Oddly he lets anybody use his name any way he wants as he is not very protective of his brand. Seems to be a "any publicity is good publicity" sort of person.
So since Jesus endorses anything you want he really can be your own "Personal Savior"!
Works for Mormons, Evangelicals, or any religion at all. Jesus is very one-size-fits-all. Don't miss out.
True that. When you (universal you) think your opinions aren't strong or influential enough, simply add reference to God (usually Jesus) affirming it. That's what saying WWJD seems to mean. Adding Jesus gives the authority your opinions need!
