Have the GAs & other leaders abandoned or diminished their claims to be 'guided by inspiration - discernment?


Someone 'in touch' with their current sayings could have information or know which way the wind is blowing on this could post some comments, Please Do (that wouldn't be me, ja ja!)

Yes, I'm aware from past information that they most often speak in general if not ambiguous terms...

Hinkley denied being a prophet.

When asked point blank on international television if he was a prophet he said he "was sustained as such".

That was the last straw for me. If he couldn't proclaim to the world he was a prophet, then the rest surely weren't either.

Agreed.

If you know you are speaking with God and are his one true prophet. Plus you are most familiar with the teachings of the Bible and (cough, cough) Book of Mormon along with claims of the only true church. The last thing you are going to do is piss off God.

At the same time he disavowed Eternal progression and said Polygamy was "Not Doctrinal".
