Wait for the New Madrid fault to hit another 8+ shaker like 1811 & watch New Orleans wash 100 miles and more into the Gulf of Mexico.
Most all the towns along the Mississippi will be shattered and destroyed.
The 1811 quake hit so hard that church bells in New York City were ringing.
When it happens it will be a major disaster - the building codes in the middle of the Nation don't usually include Earthquake safety measures in construction.
I have a music room upstairs in our home. I was about to practice when suddenly the floor sank down then up. It seems the vinyl plank flooring actually rose up for just a moment. I live 50 miles from the epicenter in TN. It is big news here as earthquakes are rather rare. And yes, it must be due to sin.

I have experienced several. None bigger than 5, but powerful enough for you to watch your walls move as the shock wave rolls through the ground. Frame homes do better since they tend to be more flexible, plus insurance premiums cost less if you have no brick nor chimney.
Several people have asked me what its like. You can hear it coming! Sounds like a freight train (like the long coal trains) deep in the ground getting closer. When you hear that sound, move your keester to a safe place.
"When you hear that sound, move your keester to a safe place."
As a 7-year-old kid who survived the earthquake in February 1971 that destroyed the San Fernando (California) hospital, I can assure you that there are very few safe places where one could move one's keester to be safe, regardless of when you do the move.
I remember that one well. I was in an upstairs bathroom, fussing with my makeup and getting ready to leave for early morning seminary.
My dog made strange noises. There were crashing noises downstairs of a few things falling off shelves.
My parents (still in bed) were yelling for me to come to their room. There was nowhere really to go except stand in a door frame maybe. I could hardly walk down the hall.
The chimney cracked away from the house and a fence fell down. The water in the pool was rocking over edges of the pool. The pool water level was down a foot or two.
Right after, my best friend came right on time to pick me up for seminary. We were seniors in high school. Everything was canceled so she dropped me off and headed for the beach where the waves were high. We did some really dumb things as teenagers. It's a wonder I survived.
Several older buildings in downtown Seattle have been retrofitted with reinforcements; buildings in this U.S. TORNADO ALLEY should have been built to higher standards...
There were reports that Habitat homes survived hurricanes in the SE like Florida, but I haven't researched this.
