Front page with a big graphic of the Salt Lake temple split in half. Several pages with interviews and photos of folks who have left mormonism and how many are doing so!! It was quite a frank and comprehensive study that included results of a survey that was done asking for personal stories and thoughts of folks who are still in, one foot in, one foot out, and Out.

I wish the Tribune wasn't behind a paywall, as the article was very interesting. If anyone can find a work around and can post any link, it is worth a read!

I have a work around that gets past most paywalls and will gladly share once I try it on this.

Please provide a link to the article.

I get the e-edition in my email. It downloads the whole edition. I tried to go to the tribune website and see if I could get the link to that one article. Nothing I tried worked. Someone who is more computer savvy might be able to help with this.

Lots of ex-mos believe in Honesty, Kindness, Respect for others more than ChurchCo practices 'believes'.

When I was a member my values consisted of lying, cheating, stealing, bearing false witness and praying to false gods and prophets.

I would love to send them my extra pennies because I hear the church is so poor.

There's not much in the article that we aren't intimately familiar with. RFM is all about the travails/benefits of being an exMo, after all. We are the source material for articles like this.

The main useful info in the article is that it is confirmation that we are not alone. Leaving Mormonism, and I suppose also staying in Mormonism when other friends/family members have left, are difficult tasks. The article just confirms what we already know.

I'll start by saying in advance..."You're welcome". It's one of those things you discover while mind-numbingly looking at Facebook reels.

Go to: https://www.archivebuttons.com/
Then paste in the article link in the search box(without all that tracking crap on the end of the URL): https://www.sltrib.com/religion/2025/08/25/lds-vs-ex-members-exploring-utahs

This allows access to restricted articles. Text and images included. It sometimes gets formatted a little oddly. But at least you can read it.

LDS Inc caused and perpetuates the divide blaming Exmos. Until they come clean on chruch history and money $100,000,000,000, which they can't, the whole thing falls apart,

GAs know its BS but instead treat members like idiots that can't think for themselves and have to Doubt their doubt. What a pathetic situation.
