First time that I have heard of this. This is a weekly zoom meeting that is 10 minutes long. It replaces the ward missionary auxiliary-correlation meeting. It doesn't even require a prayer, which is so bizarre.

30 years ago, this used to be an hour-long meeting where the ward missionary leader would correlate full time missionary efforts at the ward or branch level. When I served a stateside mission, I was assigned to two wards which both had this silly meeting (where the ward leaders had poignant questions about why we invited the scum of the world to their pristine wards). This meeting added two hours to an already long 6 hour meeting because we were assigned to two wards every Sunday. God I truly hated attending church on my mission.

We were told that we were creating disharmony in the wards during ward missionary meeting. Some women who were invited by us (my missionary companion and I) dressed for church in provocatively clothing- short leather skirts, tight tops and porn shoulders. They thought they had dressed nicely, but many women were upset about their husbands' roaming eyeballs.

We advised our investigators to dress nicely and not wear pants and jeans which we were advised to discourage people from attending in casual attire.

Looking back, it was the best 4 months of my mission when we had investigators nearly every week coming to check out the Mormon church.
