OK, here is the senerio; Husband and wife are married in Temple. Wife dies at early age. Husband finds new TBM wife-to-be. In a regular marriage, they just get married, but does the Husband have to be unsealed from dead wife, to get sealed to the new one? or do they just do the poligamy thing in the hereafter? I'm pretty sure I know the sorry answer to this, but need to know for sure. One of my TBM sisters is the 2nd wife of a TBM(they were married while I was in the Army, and I don't know where they were married) and I'm trying to figure out what she THINKS her status is.

Mormon men can be sealed to many women in the temple. And yes they will all his polygamous wives in the celestial kingdom. So your TBM wife is in a polygamous marriage in the hereafter.

Thanks for the info. I hope you meant my "TBM sister" not wife(she's a nevermo)! lol

I know of 3 TBM old men(related to one) who were married to their wife for 50 years, and 2, 3 months after the wife died they remarried! I always wondered how they could replace the love of their life so quickly. I guess in their mind they are not replacing her, but adding to the family....

What a Gross religion!

My TBM grandmother passed away around the time I was questioning everything.

Grandpa was married to a lady he met at the temple, 6 months later. I had been having other problems with the church, but this was when it hit me that grandpa was sealed for time and all eternity to grandma, and now grandpa was sealed for time and all eternity with another lady. (For the record she was a lovely lady who we all loved once we had some time to get to know her)

She has since passed on, and grandpa, now in his mid-70's, tells everyone who will listen that god has told him he will be married again and is hot on the hunt...

They can talk about how polygamy is gone all they want...

How would you survive Christmas?

Get them all the same thing and you're a dead man...
Get them all different things and you're a dead man...
Get them nothing...well, you get the point
