I asked someone who didn't know and she said, "Maybe they go hiking in the mountains and read scripture around the campfire."

Yeah. I knew a guy who went on a camping trip with the scouts 2 days before his wedding.

one guy took some friends and went to a spa.... steam room, (legitimate) massages and a sauna

I think that a 'games night' is becoming more common, nowadays.
a night around the XBox eating junk food and drinking lemonade

He and his groomsmen went to the Mt. Timp temple on Friday night for an session before his Saturday wedding. Then they went to Applebees. A quality bachelor party if you ask me.

I don't think TBM boys would be able to contain themselves appropriately at a "real" bachelor party. They'd either get their panties in a twist about the whole thing, or they'd get so wide-eyed at the very idea.

Poor, poor, sheltered TBM boys. . . . .

I've known a number who have gone to the Salt Lake strip clubs, American Bush, Southern Exposure and so on. I planned one to American Bush for one of my friends. And he happily went.

Naw, not something with cold water intended to forestall you-know-what, but rather an analog of the ladies' practice where Stanley, Mikita, Craftsman, and such are featured...

My buddy felt it was perfectly normal to have midget strippers at his place the night before...he said they weren't "really" strippers ha! I wonder if Joe had bachelor parties...

My husband and I were pretty young when we got married: he was barely 22 and I was 23. All his friends at the time were LDS and most of them were still on their missions. His one really good friend had been home for about six months when we got married. The two of them went on a roadtrip together about a month before our wedding, and I know they hung out together after the rehearsal the night before the wedding.

Some stories....

A TBM wedding in Utah Valley where I was Best Man - watched porn that we had to go to Park City to get. This was a week before the wedding in a Salt Lake valley temple. The groom was freaked out at first since he was going to the temple soon but we explained that it was instructional so he got into it.

Another in California. All the guys were active LDS though not all were RM's. Had a stripper nurse come to the party. She didn't strip all the way though - we were active after all. She was told beforehand to keep it mostly cleam.

Another where we watched an unforgettable video and hung around and ate. The biggest thing was that we gave the groom a blowup doll.

Mine? I was so pissed off. It was boring and cheap and not planned at all. Wish I had picked another best man.

So yes, some TBM boys DO have bachelor parties. He he he.

The closest thing my TBM ex had to a bachelor party was going to an arcade that had the laser tag game with his friends. He hated the thought of a traditional bachelor party with a stripper, and so did his best man who was his former roommate and who was BIC and even more TBM than my ex was. His former roommate even destroyed a porn tape that my ex forgot to hide. Last I heard, the former roommate moved back to Utah after finishing college, which was the only reason he was in California and living with my ex.

I took my cousin's fiance to Hooters. Pretty calm bachelors party. Many of their Mormon friends friends were horrified that he had gone and that she had allowed it.

Ha!

I was at Hooter's last night for their all-you-can-eat-wings. It totally didn't faze me that I was surrounded by guys who wanted to eat wings and watch the game.

I remember going to Vegas when I was in high school on a school trip once. The TBM who was my "buddy" (we had to be on the buddy system) kept gaping at the statues in Caesar's and saying something about how they were immoral.

Their world is just so small.

A good friend of mine threw me what passed for an LDS bachelor party. Mostly consisted of going to a park and playing catch with a kerosene-soaked, flaming ball of string. After dark. It was actually pretty fun, but not a proper bachelor party by any accepted definition of the term.

My TBM brother is having a bachelor party on Friday. He and his friends are coming over to my house to have dinner and play video games, then they are going to a UFC fight.
