I truly and honestly did not masturbate until a couple of years after I was married, which was in my mid-20's. I had tried a few times as a teen, but never ejaculated (guess I was doing it wrong?). The first time I ever had an orgasm was with my wife.

What triggered the initial masturbation was being away from DW for a few weeks. Once I figured out I could, then the guilt set in, and I "struggled" with it off and on for years, before finally embracing it recently as pretty normal.
