My father was a tough guy in the construction trade and was intimidated by no one. I would see this tough, smart business man running an organization with hundreds of employees taking guff from no one but then totally buckle for the leaders of the church doing everything they told him to do.

I saw the mind control over my father at an early age and knew he was giving the stuffed suits too much power.

If it isn't too much IRL info, I wish you would talk more about this, Rubicon. Did any of your siblings notice how your otherwise tough father buckled for the Morg leaders? How did your father react to your leaving the church? Is he still a TBM (or if he has passed away, was he a staunch TBM to the end?)

Maybe he feared the church could hurt his business?
