In the old endowment (before 1990) there were 3 ways in which life could be taken.
1. Slit your throat.
2. Rip out your heart.
3. Cut your belly open.
It just hit me last night what that was all about. As the endowment in symbolic, the glory of the Lard fell upon me and I received the following revelation:
The three penalties represent what you, as a member, are to the LDS Church: an animal to be slaughtered.
1. Cutting your throat represents bleeding money out of the members. It also disconnects the brain from the body.
2. Tearing the heart out represents the mental and spiritual heartbreak to be endured as the leaders expect you to give every last ounce and then rip your heart out if you dare complain.
3. The slitting of the belly represents how the church will rip your guts out and use them to make a spiritual haggis that they feed back to you.
As a Mormon you are nothing more than an animal. The Big 15 are the butchers.
