You know that primary song "Book of Mormon" stories?

It says "Lamanites met others who were seeking liberty, and the lands who welcomed all who wanted to be free, Book of Mormon stories tell us that we must brothers be"

Where the heck is that in the Book of Mormon? Last time I checked the dark, filthy Lamanites were trying to kill off the beautiful white Nephites.

Am I missing something or is this primary song confusing the BoM with an idealized Thanksgiving story?

Possibilities:

* Mulekites
* Jaredites
* Pilgrims

I think it probably refers to Pilgrims. Which is talked about somewhere in first Nephi. I agree, it's pretty weird.

Of course, now the Mopologists (and even the official church, to some extent) are denying that "Lamanites" even exist as a distinct people--just Native Americans who may (or may not) have a few Lamanite ancestors.

Mormonism is SO confusing! ; )
