All you had to do was not accept. Not a big deal, really, but I thought the idea of this board was a degree of mutual support. I thought that the fact that we had over 40 friends in common would have encouraged that support and indicated a certain amount of common ground.

Not that I am offended by the choice not to accept the request,but the reporting of the request was just a pissy, ignorant thing to do. Just an opinion.....

Yes, lots of them. I love it. Half the good stuff I read comes from my exmo FB friends - the other half from RfM. I have so many Mormon friends that I have a FB page with my maiden name and married name for everyone from my past and present and one with my nickname and (very common) married name for the kind of friends I want to make in the future. I prefer that page because I can be myself, be a fan of Starbucks, make comments about stuff Mormons would ream me for and the people are much nicer and much more interesting. I know some people think I should just be brave and combine it into one account and just be myself but one of my personal Articles of Faith is "I believe in avoiding pointless conversations with people who can't be reasoned with" so actually, having the two accounts works for me.

That's awesome!! I used to have one account with ALL my friends and family...it was hard because I had to put half of them under a limited profile so they couldn't see certain status's or pictures...I got so sick of that...so finally I just deleted my account, then remade it, only adding my closest friends and whoever else didn't judge me. It's awesome being able to swear in my status's and have pictures of me in a bikini without TBM family/friends reaming me out!!

Thanks folks, it wasn't a huge deal anyhow, just caught me wrong last night. I don't add anyone that I don't already have several friends in common with, so it isn't like it was completely out of the blue.

Witty - sometimes. Informative - definitely, mostly when people don't want it. Lover of cats - who isn't? Also - uber-organ-player in church (oh wait...yeah, I don't do that any more), scrapbooker extraordinaire, bucket list achiever (yes, I've driven a race car 150 m.p.h. and gone on a whale watching trip during which we saw no whales whatsoever), Nana to the cutest granddaughter in the history of the universe (except that, according to TSCC, there isn't a history), and chocoholic of the highest order. There's more, but you get the idea. :)

And I don't hate anyone! I have a marvelous mix of friends on my page - Mormons, exmo's, conservatives, libs, funny people, crashing bores, whatever. I'm cool with it. We have some pointed conversation sometimes and some amicable, wonderful conversations sometimes, and often people just ignore me, I think. :) I'm good with all of it - it's a strange mix, but that's what makes the world go 'round.
