Waldo Hospital? I always thought that was such a funny name for a hospital. But my husbands brother was born at Northgate Hospital, so he always joked how they got his brother at the mall.

Originally from a crappy little mining town in the Mojave Desert in California. I never go back there--too depressing and very bad memories.

What town was that? I lived in Barstow for 2 years because my dad worked at Goldstone. This was in the 60's-- pretty dismal.

In the 60s and 70s. Yeah, it's a hell hole, but Cludgie has us beat. He lived in that 20 mule team place.

You know, just for the record, I'd almost rather live where I grew up than Barstow. Just for the record. NormaRae can back me up here. Barstow's also kind of a crappy place, but there is a bakery there that makes kick-ass donuts. Or did. What do I know now?

Yeah, think Borax. If you've ever taken Hwy 58 from Barstow to Bakersfield (and for some reason most people have), you've been to My Home Town.
