TIAA-CREF owns $2 billion dollars worth of farm land. Guess who owns more?

The $400-billion TIAA-CREF pension fund for U.S. academics and researchers owns roughly $2-billion worth of farmland in North America, South America, Australia and Europe.

LD$ Inc. owns 2 1/2 times that amount.

I wonder where these people found that number?

I don't think I've seen anyone attempt to give a total number before.

Most of the holdings are under names not obviously related to LDS, Inc, so even looking them up on local county maps isn't very helpful.

Five billion $$$, eh? More than the mall, but then they've been working on their farmlands holdings a long time.
