Why was his father born in Mexico? Why did the family go to Mexico? I always thought that it was because they would be able to practice their polygamy without interference. So what's the story?

His grandfather was not a polygamist...

I guess Mitt told the truth, sort of. I hear the call of duty in the distance, she who must be obeyed seeks my undivided attention. Sorry gotta go.

I read he had polygamist roots in Mexico. I have polygamist roots. Might explain my wandering eyes. So what?

I'm likewise from polygamous stock.

Personally, I don't have a problem with polygamous relationships as long as they're consensual and adult--and the children are safe. If religion is not involved there shouldn't be a problem.

Maybe it was his great grandparents who were polygs, and once again, the reporters aren't doing their homework

marriage usually involves children.

a community can't survive without them.

I am guessing it was his great grandparents. My Ggrandparents were polygs, but my granparents were not. My mom was born in the colonies, though and lived there until she was 10 (1930ish)

One of the Romney married my great aunt, but the was the generation that did not seem to be polygs.

It was his great grandparents who were polygamists and fled to Mexico to avoid prosecution.

What about Mitt's other grandfather? We all have two, don't we?

Mitt is correct in denying that his grandfather was a polygamist. But that's only part of the complete story: His grandfather was a child in a polygamist family; i.e., Mitt's GREAT-grandfather was a polygamist.

Next question for Mitt: "According to your religion, is it possible that your great-grandfather is now in heaven, enjoying the company of his multiple wives? And, if so, how do you feel about that?"

even if the ppl Directly involved don't have children (First Gen), the men often if not usually seek younger women to be 'brides'; that deprives (by 'choice') other (uninvolved) men of wives.

Mormons are STUCK with their earlier GA stmnts about 'how bad' monogamy is.

Stupid Cult.

anyone with half a brain would look to the future & see what any practice like that would result; today we have the excess of males without partners due to genocide of girls in China.

The cover of my new book, 'plygs,' is a shot of the St. George LDS tabernacle, which his great-great-grandfather (who had 11 wives) helped design and build. Why does he continually refuse to discuss his heritage?

His Granddad was not a polygamist. His Great-granddaddy on the other hand...
