My 34 yo daughter just moved there with her boyfriend and she does not know a soul. She is wondering if there are any like minded folk in Mesa.

She is like me, atheist Buddhist-inclined, would like to learn to use a sewing machine, take some classes maybe, do more healthy fresh cooking.

Mostly she needs people to hang out with as she peers out the window at the soaring temperatures. She wonders what the local non-mo, non-Christians do for fun other than gamble and shoot.

Suggestions? Meetups?

Oh, fer the love! She will love you and she will keep you laughing. Her language is right there with Raptor Jesus, so warned is armed...

I never have figured out how to get someone's email off this board. Educate me if you know how, otherwise, you can email her at suzannewaters at gmail.

No, but her vision of herself is expanding so anything is possible!

He just started a new job there--he is an expert craftsman guitar-maker (the kind that sell for thousands each) with guns and herbs as his hobby. Yep--unusual combination, right? THey need to make some couple friends and develop some individual and couple activities--

Yes, small mason jars and he mixes them together and makes teas to cure/alleviate symptoms.

Suzy is dying to learn to play guitar and brought her grandmother's instrument with her.

Sounds like y'all have a lot in common. I sent her your email and a link to this thread. She's here in California with me right now finishing up some biz, but she will be back in Mesa after May 3rd.
