Anyone who knows how to use a computer to visit the Mormon.org site also knows how to Google the word "mormon"--and they will. There the picture is not quite so flattering.
And that statement (by the PR rep) that you referred to in the article: "Web traffic is up tremendously--two to three hundred percent in some cases on Mormon.org, especially in the test market" is meaningless without his giving more information. "In some cases?" "Especially in the test market?" Let's see the hard data! (I won't be holding my breath.) My guess is that--if there is any credibility at all in this statement--the increases in web traffic are IMMEDIATELY after a commercial airs and ONLY in the test market areas. This is all typical, positive-spin, BS sales talk!
