A few years back, one of my TBM nephews & hid dw had a girl, and named her Eva. When he told me her name he made extra sure I knew it did not come from that awful movie Wall-e. I had not seen the movie so I just let it go. I have since seen the movie, and find nothing controversial about it. On another thread a poster mentioned this movie again. Is there some reason TBM's don't like this movie, or am I just reading too much into this?

I won't argue against halegal's point, because maybe there's something to it. But every mormon I know loves WALL-E

Mormons are pretty schizoid on their environmental views, and I find Salt Lake's liberalism has an effect on those here (in spite of the weekly indoctrinations at PH meetings).

Where they are in denial is the impact of their large families...

So, did you ask your friend if she was named after that lady from Argentina? You know, Juan PerĂ³n's second wife, the one Madonna played in the movie?

How is this possible ?

It's probably caused by that satanic coffee shop at ninth and ninth.

Living in an artificial world, led by barely competent leaders, being fed sugar and lies, getting increasingly lazy and stupid...

I loved Wall-E. I know a couple of people who worked on it. Pixar advances animation by light-years each major film release. With Nemo,it was making fire burn under water, with Incredibles it was fabric texture. with Ratatouille it was texture of hair. with Wall-E it was hexagons. Every single frame is composed of x to the nth number of hexagons. Amazing.
