I posted a while back about filing an appeal to a decision made in a court of love. I filed the appeal, which is a letter to the stake president in the case of a Bishop who conducted the court, about five weeks ago. Met with the SP once who said he would get back to me sooner rather than later with a decision. He had three options:
1. Let the decision stand
2. Reduce the punishment
3. Tell the Bishop to reconvene a new court of love

Well, five+ weeks later and still not response. Apparently, it takes weeks to come to a decision on this, but in an actual court of love a decision is always made that very instant. Ridiculous!

My suggestion is to give them the "One Finger Salute", walk away and don't look back. You owe them nothing and they have NO AUTHORITY to demand anything.

Curious as to why you're posting about it here, if it means that much to you. Or are you somehow attempting to screw with THEIR minds?

It's part of my exit strategy and reinforcement of my current beliefs about their administrative system and that is all this church is, "an administration". So I guess I would say the latter of your suggestions.

It should have come on the letterhead of a law firm with a cc to Salt Lake City?
