How can this man possibly still think the church is true? After all the people he sees leave and all the reasons he must see/hear/read even if he doesn't want to...

Actually- it would probably be best to have a non-believer process the resignations. Wouldn't want to taint the faithful by exposing them to the truth...

His faith is probably bolstered by the daily "buffetings of Satan".

Well, at least until they farm his job out to volunteer missionary scabs (or they run out of Mormons).

Nobody else wants to do what he does, and he does it well for Mormon high command. Besides, he's privy to all sorts of "need to know" information that probably gives him a tent just thinking about it.

BTW, I used to have a friend working at the COB who got in trouble with Greg Dodge. She committed the unthinkable crime of communicating with him without going through proper channels. Apparently, Greg Dodge doesn't speak to anyone from the COB who isn't at a certain level of authority. Dodge went to her boss and tried to have her fired over it.

I wonder if it is orders from on high: don't let anyone talk to him without going through channels. They wouldn't want people to be chummy with him because in casual conversations about work he could let thing slip that would hurt their testimonies. In my job I am privy to sensitive information and we are discouraged from getting to close to people who don't have access to the information. We do trainings on the same computer programs and office policies seperately. Sometimes even our questions in trainings give away more information then we mean to.
I could easily see a situation at the COB like that. Greg is not allowed to talk to others so he cannot tell a "funny" work story at the water cooler about a resignation letter/phone call.

She just thought he was a jerk, but that's probably the truth.

Well if he tried to get her fired just because she was unaware of his "status" as an untouchable, he is a jerk big-time.

I wonder about that as well as D. Michael Quinn and Grant Palmer. Mormonism is one powerful drug!

Michael Quinn is still a believer but Grant Palmer is not. He left the Mormon church a while ago and now attends another Christian church.

Doubt he still has a testimony, but probably doesn't care either since he probably gets paid an assload from the higher ups.
