Since publication of the Book of Mormon, there has been speculation on the location of the book’s geography. Traditionally, it has been accepted that the book’s geography encompassed the North and South American continents as well as the Polynesian Islands. More recently, it has been suggested that the geography was limited to areas in Central America or in the USA. It has been proposed that DNA science sheds light on this question. The strengths and weaknesses of the evidence supporting each of the proposed geographic models will be examined.
