So I'm still friends with all my mormon friends, they all know I've left and it's not a problem. I even enjoy reading their posts that are related to mormonism, as it brings a sense of familiarity. Anyway, below is a synopsis of a posting among family members of wearing white shirts at church. Names have all been changed to protect the ID of my friends. All I have to say is that even though I'm not fond of the church I currently attend (kind of the same situation as many of you -- I go for my husband, I appreciate their love of color, men and women, in what they wear to church).

Sandy: Buying Joseph his first suit today. Surprisingly, he is SUPER excited about it!!

Kevin (Sandy's half brother who just got home from a
mission): A suit?!?! Suits are over rated. White shirt and
tie is all I need

Sandy: He gets a suit for his baptism. And we're getting it
so he can wear it to Todd's (Sandy's half-brother and
Kevin's full brother) wedding next week. He's going to look
so dapper. :)

(Still Sandy) You are SUCH an RM. Do you even actually wear
white shirts? Larry (Sandy's husband) spent years not
wearing white shirts. heh.

Kevin: What the heck is a dapper? And I only wear the white
shirt on Sunday then when I get home it comes off

Kaila (Sandy's younger, full-sister): I need to get Tobias
new Sunday clothes. He shot up the past few weeks, so all
his size 5 stuff is high-waters on him. He grows too fast.

Sandy: Kevin, go look it up on dictionary.com. Sheesh.

Lisa (married to Sandy's full-brother -- Tony): haha Tony
didn't like to wear white shirts up until a few years
ago. (remember him wearing a blue shirt to Sheldons
(Sandy's son) blessing? haha) it must me a RM thing! Thanks
for posting cause it reminded me Jonathan (Lisa's son) could
use some new church clothes!!
