My husband had his first one in Puerto Rico last April. He had a big grin on his face and promptly learned how to make them at home!

To quote my bartender: "A mojito for the girl, to make her toes curl?". ;)

Nuff said.

HAHHAHA I live in Utah (am I repeating myself here?) - no Applebees or Chilis where I live.

C'mon, I'm gonna have to make it myself, so please pretty please tell me how???

Thank you. :)

(And to what will I be converted???)

But...(and I repeat myself again)...I LIVE IN UTAH!!!

I'm too passive-aggressive to look it up myself.

If you don't tell me I'm gonna start crying. Now.

rum, ice, a squeeze of lime juice and fresh mint in a cocktail shaker. Shake well, pour into a cocktail glass. Top off with club soda. If you like your cocktails on the sweeter side rather than sour, add a little simple syrup.

it NEEDS sugar.. and it absolutely needs to be muddled in order to release the mint flavor..

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mojito

recipe:

1 part rum
3 parts club soda
12 mint leaves
1/2 lime
1/2 part sugar

Place sugar and 12 mint leaves and 1/2 lime in a glass and muddle well with a pestle. Add rum and top with club soda. Stir well. Garnish with mint leaves and/or lime slices.

The recipe is from the Bacardi website.

But mint and lime is a great combination. If there truly is a divine creator he would have created the minty lime tree.

but Mojito's are at the top of my list. I prefer the classic w/ lots of mint but, like margarita's, you can find them in almost any flavor!

Go to the state liquor store - you can buy them there. Oh the joys of living in Utah!
