As if over tolerance (rather than lack of tolerance) is a major problem of LDS congregations.

"Ok, mormons we need to dial down our tolerance levels!"

What an a-hole. The whole thing is such a total mind screw. So I'm glad I'm out of it.

Meanwhile religious tolerance means we can't intervene in churches to force them to address child rape, female genital mutilation, discrimination against gays, the list goes on and on. We have to let them have religious freedom.

Well at least he makes a good case for why many others aren't so tolerant of the bullshit called Mormonism.

Exactly - I'm willing to be less tolerant of Mormons.

that Boyd K. Packer will never fall into the "tolerance trap".

Boyd K. Packer: "Tolerance is a virtue, but, like all virtues, when exaggerated it transforms itself into a vice . . .We need to be careful of the ‘tolerance trap’ so that we are not swallowed up in it." (Today at General Conference)

In other words --- the members are becoming too tolerant of gays.

Mormons I've known are very good at not being too tolerant. One might say to a fault.

The asses on parade have cemented the church's position as hard nosed, intolerant pricks.

I wish that "we're too tolerant" talk would get national media coverage.

It's pathetic.

I hope he's still alive when they inevitably change their stance on gays..... it will really get in his craw..

BKP is such a jerk. I can't stand him now and couldn't back when I was TBM. He most likely planted the seed that got me started on my way out of TSCC. Maybe I should thank him.

He's right. I tolerated him for way too long.

Mr. Packer should consider how lucky he is that church members are so tolerant of him and his bro's spending so much of their donated money, fighting for an unconstitutional point of view.
