I know that there will be several on the boards who have very ready access to stats regarding the plight of homosexual kids in Mormon communities.
I am currently engaged in a debate with an LDS family member who is claiming that the theology of the Morg is in no way responsible for the suicide epidemic among gay LDS teens. I know that there are stats out there regarding how the suicide rate in Utah is higher than in other states (and many other countries) as well as the homelessness rate among gay teens in Utah. Try as I might, I haven't been able to find much on this, though. What I am looking for is solid information that ties Mormonism to an increased risk of suicide among gays or in shunning by family. Any help from you guys would be greatly appreciated.
