Was it those same people who boasted nearly 14 million members worldwide, including many who were baptised and now termed "lost sheep" who are kept on the records till they`re 110 years old and people who were baptised and never attended any meetings again plus those who don`t pay tithing or have a calling and attend once a month and children who are not yet baptised. Is that the reliable record-keepers whose activity statistics you`re quoting?

Thought so.

if you work on the basis there are 45 stakes in the UK and it used to be that you needed 2,000 members for a Stake to function correctly- 52,000 isn't that great a deal. Then use the current definition of 'active' as attending one Sacrament Meeting per month (it used to be once a quarter) it still isn't a great result. What you really need to establish are the numbers of faithful tithe payers and recommend holders, and we all know those have declined sharply.
