Hello All,

I cannot remember the term for the common apologetic fallacy, especially attributed to Hugh Nibley, where they connect a Book of Mormon item (be it a word, device, technology, etc. etc.) and connect it to a seemingly related item even if it is from another time period, culture, or some other anachronistic idea.

Can someone please help me out with the term?

Thanks in advance.

Non-sequitur?

I suppose I could look it up.

I'm not looking for non-sequitur, nor red herring.

Even when I look it up, I only have the vaguest idea of what i'm looking for that not even all-knowing Google can assist me - which sadly reflects pretty bad on how i'm wording my search.

Post hoc? They do that a lot.

A caused B simply because A happened first.

I'd need to look these up to remember more. Let us know when you find it I'm interested.
