>"Pure love, we presuppose, that only after a pledge of eternal fidelity, a legal and lawful ceremony, and ideally after a sealing ordinance in the temple, are those life-giving powers released to the full expression of love. It is to be shared only and solely between man and woman, husband and wife"<
Is TSCC abdicating authority of the greatest creative power to civil law? That God will not count the couple as sinners for fornicating if they but get signed papers from whatever despot is currently in charge of the local government?
And yet, they won't recognize that same government's seal of approval on "other" relationships? Just as at one time, they disdained the government's approval as they married already civilly married women and multiple underage wives in complete disregard for the law of one era.
But now, fornication is only approved by god when you get permission from the mayor's office.
Something is seriously amiss in the eternal laws of god.
