Wardbecks, we just try to educate and inform here and help those who are treated badly by the group calling themselves Mormons. You have a problem with that?
How ever it is the rare TBM who can handle the level of honesty on this board. Most who wander over here break the rules, tell everyone how sinful, bitter, angry, hateful, blah, blah, blah they are and get roundly flamed before being relegated to the outer darkness.
But then again, people who accuse anyone of revealing unpalatable truths to be filled with hate obviously have issues with interpreting the responses of others, so I'm sure you've heard that they get "beat up". It's just the whining of the schoolyard bully after someone stands up to them though.
Think they will come on the board and "show" us apostates how wrong we are using watered down/weak arguements...and when we disagree...resort to name calling.
If a TBM came here and was seeking honesty and openness...he/she will get it...but with that...when you don't have the church thinking for you...people can and will say the truth...which is often harsh when you are used to a cult mentality with black and white thinking...
and expect it not to bite/eat you...and you are an idiot.
Come in here respectfully, and post honest questions, and be welcome to real thought provoking answers (not the canned kind), and you will have a good response.
Where are you getting your information? We've had discussions with many TBM's here. However, when they spout incorrect information they are called on it. If you consider correcting someone beating up, then I guess we beat up tbm's.
What point is there for a TBM to come here? A questioning Mo or a NOM I could understand - but a TBM coming on here is like going out of your way to waltz into a starving lion den with a t-bone hanging around your neck and saying "Hey you lions - you're not gonna eat me now are you??"
TBM's usually come here with the purpose of taunting, baiting, and instigating. And we, like most people, don't take kindly to that sort of behavior.

ATTN WARDBECKS ---We never go into battle against an "UNARMED MAN". Unarmed as in unarmed by reason, intellect, or truth.
Unless you are prepared to look and thoroughly investigate **BOTH SIDES** of logic and reason and especially fact, by reading all references and and investigating every detail, then to be honest you are not worth out time to "beat up", however we might honestly debate you.
We have been in the "Church" and most for many decades, and even holding significant positions. We have seen both sides INSIDE & OUTSIDE and know the arguements well.
