To be fair, I wouldn't want my wife going out and having sex with other guys, and I don't believe many other guys would want that either. I still believe that it isn't necessarily appropriate to have sex with other guys if that's what you have committed to.

And having an affair is rarely a good thing because of the way (yes, scientifically) hormones create bonds between partners during intercourse and whatnot, so in many cases it could just weaken the relationship (I say rarely because there are possibilities where it could be good psychologically). But just because I think this way doesn't mean I think women are dirty for doing that, I just don't believe it is a wise choice. (This also applies vice versa with females who have husbands in that position. It's not a one sided opinion)

Of course, if your husband/wife is okay with it then by all means, go ahead. I just don't like how some people are starting to act like "oh you're married? So what?! Don't be lame! Just go have sex with someone else!" I'm not saying that's what you said though. I'm sort of just venting and hijacking your thread.

Btw, I am only talking about extramarital affairs. I have no problem with it before marriage. After you're married that is a choice and a commitment and the rest of my feelings are explained above.

On the other hand, while it kills the sex drive of most female Mormons--it can also make you eventually go crazy in the opposite direction. Trying to be Mormon even for a while (and I slipped up quite a bit in the masturbation department, had a few makeouts too many, and was still being spanked on the regular, which is more than I can say for a lot of TBM women in their lifetime) made me absolutely insane for about 5 months after I left. I remember the day I decided to leave. It was like a dam burst. After that I went sex crazy, even too sex crazy, for several months until I was able to feel like a normal human again. I don't know how women deal with it their entire lives. It's not so much the act of sex, that wasn't what I missed as much--it was much more about the natural erotic energy of walking around in clothes that make you feel sexy, feeling free to flirt and have sexual fantasies and entertain erotic ideas. It's a natural part of being human (unless you are asexual) and it's completely cut off. Women especially are reduced to hyperromantic, decorative children.
