I have type 2 diabetes and when my blood sugar tested over 300 one day, I decided enough was enough. I started following the Atkins under 20 grams plan. The first week was hard, but I kept at it, and after that week, it got much easier, and not so strict. So far (three months) my glucose readings have dropped to the mid/low 100s, and my HbA1c has gone from over 10 to 5.4 AND I have lost 20 lbs wi

Going to the shooting range with my (adult) children, beginning a new book by Danielle Steel or Debbie Macomber or Susan Wiggs, the silence on a Sunday morning before the neighbors wake, and going to see Abbacadabra at South Lake Tahoe.

If you are interested in a church at all, try the Episcopal church. I like knowing that my gay son and transgender daughter would feel comfortable attending with me.

I will be reincarnated as a rhinoceros. "Almost 27% of people will be reincarnated as a higher form of life than you. You're not perfect, but you've lead a better life than most. With a few changes now, your next life could be even better."

Yes, and I was so mad and sad at the ending. I have two children, one gay son and a transgender daughter, and I wanted to jump into the past and save him. Terrible what they did to homosexuals.

I recently acquired a set of Anglican prayer beads (beautiful peach quartz), and wondered if you use this kind of thing when praying. The old "fold your arms and bow your head" never did anything for me, maybe the beads will. I do like having something in my hands to concentrate my thoughts.

Almost wish I still lived in SLC, I'd have gone with my gay son and transgender daughter.

Why do women get the worst of it? Bad treatment throughout all history and blame for all the woes of man, not to mention menstrual issues, more opportunities for cancer (more internal body parts) and autoimmune diseases like MS, RA, and Lupus. More prone to dementia and Alzheimer's. The only good thing about being female is the ability to bear children.

I've always thought he was, it just makes sense to me. As far as not being mentioned in the scriptures, women weren't often mentioned (unless it was something BAD) as they just weren't important enough to bother with.

The women that get this done are going to be wealthy/married to wealthy men who are the big donators to the church. They must be kept happy, and bigger boobs means happy men and bigger donations. It's ok if poor Molly Mo has boobs down to her belly button after 8 kids, but the wealthy must keep up appearances and that means surgical assistance. And a nice C cup looks great. I would have had i

I owned an '88 VW Cabriolet 5 speed and drove it the winters while living in South Jordan (SLC Valley). I never had any problems, and it was wonderful in the spring.

as long as it doesn't have Shia Labouf in it. I see all the Indy movies. I saw the first one as a Jr. in high school at the Villa Theater in Salt Lake. I went so many times the first week that the ticket window lady let me in for the kids price. Indy is the main reason I chose Jones as my last name when I got divorced last and wanted something easy.

for a few months after talking to a former co-worker that is a member. I liked the fact that the priest is married (7 kids!), and I agree with most of the dogma, and I enjoyed the socializing with edibles and coffee/tea etc. afterwards. My excuse for not going now is that I don't drive due to disability and it's a pain to ride the paratransit to the other side of town. It was nice to wear dres

Smaller city, close to Lake Tahoe and hiking, skiing, etc. I moved from Salt Lake City, and it's blessedly Mormon free for the most part. I've only seen mishies trolling twice since I moved here two years ago, and not once here at my apartment complex. I resigned my membership in January that year, and made the move to Reno 4 months later. The weather is very similar to the SLC area.

I sent an email on 01/21/11 and knew when it was opened, so that was when I was out. The official paper arrived two weeks later. I had also sent a snail mail to the bishop stating no contact, and I have never had any. At the time I was living with TBM BIC grandmother and never heard a peep out of her about it, so apparently the bishop never blabbed. This was in the south end of the Salt Lake vall
