Did you get your 2nd dose, or are you talking about the booster shots? I see one of the 2-dose boosters are out. I took the 1-dose J&J vaccine which is supposed to have a booster available by the end of the month.

I just got deleted over at East Idaho News for just mentioning the Second Anointing. I posted on the latest Daybell story where Lori Vallow reportedly told people that the rules don't apply to her because she is exalted. All I posted was that the mainstream church calls it the Second Anointing. Same thing, different name. I only took about 5 minutes to get enough flags to hide the comment

Those are my stipulations too. As long as I'm not forced to listen or participate in any way, I'd be a well-dressed body in a seat for even less than you. I'd do it for $500 a week.

I did a search and didn't find a discussion on this which is surprising considering that Chad Daybell claimed to be the head of this church. I had never heard of it. Does anyone else remember being taught about the CoftheF in church? Has anyone read the book with the same title by Christiansen and Smith? I saw Erik Smith discussing his religious views on a you tube video, and he seemed to

I think it's been closed here too. My neighbors attend religiously (ha ha) and they haven't left the house on a Sunday since Spring.

Chad's sister-in-law just wrote an open letter to the Henry's Fork Stake. One of her whines was about how people believed Chad, and didn't believe her and her husband (Chad's brother). Going by that, I guess many people did believe Chad. What I find surprising is that East Idaho News has not picked up on the letter even though Court TV has had it for a day and a half now. I wonder if EIN

I always thought the judge went wherever the trial went. So if they moved the trial to Boise or to Twin Falls, whichever district judge was assigned to the case in Rexburg would travel to preside over it. No?

When someone tells me they have higher standards, I can't help but correct them. You have DIFFERENT standards. Not necessarily higher.

Truthfully, I'd be happy if they'd just quit denying that it ever happened. I'm so tired of being called a liar and an angry apostate. I'd be happy if they taught TRUE church history starting with kids about 10.

I thought GNPE was talking about calling a defendant to testify against someone else in the same matter. IE, call Chad to testify against Lori regarding the stuff that happened or that was verbally shared before they got married, when Tammy was still alive. I don't believe that stuff is protected by marital privilege, is it? I could be wrong. But it would be a coup for the prosecution even

That's a pretty high bar, isn't it? AFAIK competency just means she understands the charges against her and is lucid enough to communicate with her lawyer and help in her defense. She is lucid (or at least was when she was out) proven by the fact that she knew she needed to hide what really happened, and by her ability to come up with cover stories to try to do that. Unless her mental stat

It never fails, I get a little extra money, and stuff starts breaking. Mine has been spent on a TV, microwave, and a new section of fence, all of which broke after I got the electronic deposit. Well, I haven't paid for the fence yet. My handyman keeps putting it off. So I could have a couple hundred left but no more than that.

Forgive me if this has already been discussed. I read all the threads I could find on the subject and didn't see it. We know their bishop knew what was going on. First, we know Charles 3-wayed him into a call where Lori told him he wasn't Charles and called him by a different name. I believe during that call she expressed other odd religious beliefs. We know he talked to police about what

Where would a couple of Preppers hide out? Do you suppose they're in the Utah or Idaho mountains? Or being hidden by some fellow preppers?

Nope, sorry. I'm nearly positive that she had her brother kill her husband at the time so that she could be with Chad unhindered. Did I mention that her brother died about 2 weeks ago too? Hmmm ... cleaning up loose ends?

Thank gawd this kid's parents reported the abuse to Child Services. If they had gone to the bishop, I'm not sure we'd even be hearing about it.

If he had been raised in a typical family with another religion, I'd agree. But he wasn't. Men of his generation did what the church expected, having had it drilled into them that the church IS god. I feel terrible for his wife, but I hope she understands that there's no way he could have lived as a gay man when he married her. If he had gone to the bishop for counsel at that time, doll

I agree you need to have a heart to heart with your wife and tell her you're only trying to support her and you will never join. She's probably the one who is getting them to recruit you, so she needs to be the first to tell them to back off. If they continue, I'd just tell them that I don't believe and I never will and please stop bugging me. No need to go into why. If they ask, I wouldn

Dunno how much the original cost to build in 1915-1919 but wiki said a reno was done in 1976-1978 that cost 5.5 million. I assume that's in mid 1970's dollars. Another structural upgrade and reno was done in 2008 but no dollar amount was given.

I dunno, I never asked. You didn't question my mother if you valued your safety. But I assume that because it was a Sabbath fast, she decided you couldn't eat on Sunday at all.

I can't help thinking what the scenario would have been if that had been a little Mormon boy who didn't have a white shirt and tie.

You got a big Sunday meal? You were lucky. LOL Our fast started after Saturday dinner and didn't end till breakfast Monday morning. I remember a family from Utah moved not too far from us and told us they skipped Saturday dinner and ate after church on Sunday. My mother was furious. Said they weren't following the letter or the sprit of the law.

I didn't fit into Mormon culture either and was treated pretty badly as a member too, but I remained a true blue faithful member through it all. The bottom line was, I felt like crap because of church policies and tenets. It was not the fault of the other members. So for me, quitting or staying was a matter of figuring out if I believed that Joseph Smith saw God and Jesus in the grove, if
