It's great that the cult can always count on like (small) minded bigots to back them up. With friends like these...

As a former corporate employee I have no love for NuSkin, but as just a small point of fact, the bulk of the sales comes from the Asia Pacific region, not China specifically. Chinese growth has helped fueled the stock price rise in recent years but of the major countries in the region, China is among the newest and is (well, was - been gone for a while) dwarfed by the more established markets (

I was listening to the Planet Money podcast on my way to work this morning and they had a very interesting segment about 2 million dollar donations to a Romney supporting Super PAC that came from Provo. Nobody recognized the company names, their offices did not exist and further digging found that they traced back to Steve Lund, former CEO of NuSkin and current 70. Shocking that a Pyramid sch

COB is an Oracle shop, but it's not standard Oracle 11g (Grid), they run Oracle 11c (Celestial). I can only imagine the licensing fees for that extra feature.

I have been openly non/ex-mormon for pretty much the entirety of my post high school life ( 18 years ) and lived in various cities in Utah County. I spent 3 years at a manufacturing facility during college with no problems. Right out of college, I was hired on at NuSkin - heavily LDS company - and worked for 7.5 years with no hint of discrimination regarding my exmo status. In fact, I rose

Clara and Craig are still plugged in at the top of the pyramid and getting very large commission checks every month. However Clara hasn't been 'active' in the business in years and Craig, as I recall is only semi involved. It's been a few years since I worked there.

Very likely, the Mower's founded and owned Neways, one of the sleaziest of the Utah MLM's and that's saying a lot. They were one of the first MLM's to gain market share in Russia - thanks to the cooperation of the Russian Mafia. http://www.deseretnews.com/article/645201376/Neways-founders-sent-to-prison-for-tax-evasion.html But they're big Republican contributors, LDS and rich, so they mu

I believe the accounting program is part of the business school at BYU. Their accounting program is consistently in the top 3 nationally and probably brings the B school as a whole up.

In one eye-opening semester I : Sold LSD and weed to other students ( great supplemental income, and no shortage of customers ). Took several co-eds to the local hot springs for skinny dipping and subsequent activities. Knowing I'd be the hell out of there at the end of the single semester, parked repeatedly in faculty lots and laughed at the tickets. Mistakenly lit up a smoke on afte

That sucks hard, I got the ax a few years ago and having never been unemployed or let go it really messed me up. I feel for you, but try your best to keep busy and not sink into the depression that is waiting there to grab you at first opportunity. What do you do, I have 3 openings at my workplace that I'm trying to fill. Technical jobs, Oracle RDBMS, Linux admin, software dev. I'm in Utah.

I work in an amazingly liberal ( not necc politically ) office and we really need another 1 or 2 Oracle DBA's. Great benefits and salary ( 100k+ ), minimal travel or OT, 9/9 schedule if you want it. I won't lie, I get a finders fee, but this is the best place that I've ever worked as an ex-mo. At least 50% of the SLC engineering department is never or ex. The others are cool and half the m

So much more to say, but I have a long discussion to attend to. The CJTC ( see Weeds for reference ) known as 'StateofFear' and 'Mrs Lingo' recommended Evergreen for an 8 year old for whom the mom thought may be gay. http://community.babycenter.com/post/a24577753/scary_question_to_ask.?cpg=5&csi=2220676697&pd=1 I've been out too long, but this gal - despite being close to 30 -

Sounds like my neighborhood in north east Utah County. I come home to kids as young as 18 months roaming around unsupervised. There are several kids around my sons age in the neighborhood but I don't like to go let him play with them because I become the de-facto supervisor for the whole freaking block. It kills me because he loves to play with other kids, and he's got the disadvantage of u
