Because her quote irritated me I posted this... Religion is simply a community of people who gather together on a regular basis to reassure each other that it is ok to continue believing in absurdities. Carl Sagan I saw it here and decided it was appropriate! So far no comments but lots of likes, but I only have 2 TBM friends on FB. The one who posted the Julie Beck quote probably doesn'

One of my FB friends just posted this comment on her page... "Think of the power of our future missionary force if mothers considered their homes as a pre-missionary training center (MTC). Then the doctrines of the gospel taught in the MTC would be a review and not a revelation. That is influence; that is power." Julie B. Beck I threw up a little reading, and typing that.

Ummm Robert, I've done a search on you, and unless I've done it wrong, you've posted all of 3 times in the last 90 days. Now possibly you are an old posted who doesn't come here often or you're a newbie, either way, where the hell do you get off talking to Cheryl that way? She has every right to post about her experiences. And for your information missionary harrasment happens all the time. T

I've taken all three of my kids to DL at that age and they all loved it. We took our now 18 monthish there for her 1st birthday and she had a blast. There were plenty of rides that she could go on and she didn't have a problem with any of them, it depends on the child I think. She LOVES Mickey Mouse and Tinkerbell and goes insane whenever she sees anything about Mickey Mouse or Tinkerbell! I

My DH and I, living in Utah, Tooele county to be exact, just built a new house, the property tax was for a house worth $380,000.00 dollars which is WAY more than what we paid to build our house. We went to the county asseser guy and he said, and I quote "there is no way you built that house for under $400,000.00!" THe guy was an idiot, it was very easy to build our 4000 square foot/ba

The missionaries stopped at my house this weekend too. I feel the way Cheryl does, I don't want them in my house, I've told them a million times that I'm not interested. Anyway, I opened the door and said no thanks guys I'm not interested, and one of them, with A LOT of attitude says "can't we atleast introduce ourselves" and I said "Nope, I know where you guys are from and I'm

I think the thing most everyone is forgetting is if Adam had wanted to kill someone he would have found a way regardless. It's not like he would have woken up and thought I want to kill a bunch of people but there are no guns so oh well, I guess I'll go ice skating instead! He would have found a way. All he needed to do was grab some fertelizer and gasoline like Timothy McVey did. Yes it suck

Sometimes it is a challenge to take children to the store or out to eat, no matter how many children you have. Let's face it, kids can be brats no matter how you try to teach them. Kid's have bad days just like anyone else does, the difference is, children don't know how to deal rationally with a bad mood or excitement. Not to disagree with awful Utah parents, because I know that they exist, I

I don't use the God is watching on my kids any more than I do Santa is watching...I use MOM is watching...that is enough for them. But I don't think there is anything wrong with kids beliving in magic, that's the beauty of being a kid...anything is possible, including magic! Nor do I think my kids are going to grow up damaged, or unable to think, nor do I think they will question my credability

My kids got the elf on a shelf a couple of years ago as a christmas gift and my kids love it! It's a nice holiday tradition. We don't use is as a tool to tell on santa...much! My kids have a blast looking for him everyday and my oldest son likes to leave "Scottie" notes every night. He loves it when Scottie writes him back! And DS always makes sure to thank santa for sending Scotti

I guess if your mormon this is a great gift idea. I did think it was odd that it was their christmas present but they had to can it themselves but who am I to judge! Several years ago my husbands grandmother gave us a case of powdered mashed potatoes for christmas and my MIL gave me a case of maccaroni and cheese. I would rather have had the money they spent on these things but we just smi

I have a friend, non practicing mormon, her in-laws are giving her and her DH food storage for christmas. She seems very excited about this, which, whatever, to each their own, what I found strange about it was that she had to go spend Saturday canning it herself. Is this normal? My TBM MIL has food storage but she just stocks up on whatever canned goods and toilet paper are on sale. I should

I was always told by TBM's that it's just HOT caffinated beverages that were bad, except hot chocolate, as long as it was cold it was ok. Which just proves how riduculous they are =)

It's not like their going to tell you that is why you are being let go, and if you are a temp, regardless if you've been offered the job or not, you are still a temp working for another company, all they have to say is it's not working out and let you go.

Winks, that sounds like my office. They are moving me up one floor for the sake of "efficiency". Whatever, I go where they tell me to go and make sure I always have my portable heater with me! Actually I'm happy about the move becasue I get AN OFFICE! AAfter life in a cubicle and office sounds devine! Especially since it will be away from all my annoying co-workers who think they k

Still, I'd wait until you are officially hired on. If you piss off the wrong person and bye bye job! It sucks and it's unfair I know! Is the move or what ever they are doing going to mess up your work flow or cause you other problems? If so, quietly go to your supervisor and bring up the issues. Make it sound like you are doing it for the company and not for yourself.

You stated you are a temp? This is most likely why no one consulted you. You may be trying to get hired on but until you do, you are just a temp and no one is going to ask you about office placement. It probably sound unfair but your co-workers have no idea if you are going to be hired permanently. If I were you I would keep your thoughts to yourself, especially if you want to get hired on pe

It's a double whammy for you! You've got fornication and adultery!!! Title 76 Utah Criminal Code Chapter 7 Offenses Against the Family Section 103 Adultery. 76-7-103. Adultery. (1) A married person commits adultery when he voluntarily has sexual intercourse with a person other than his spouse. (2) Adultery is a class B m

Yep! Fornication, a class B misdemeanor, in violation of Title 76, Chapter 7, Section 104, Utah Code Annotated 1953, as amended, in that the defendant, a party to the offense, as an unmarried person, did voluntarily engage in sexual inercourse. In my 12 years in the DA's office I have never seen it actually charged though...

Mine do nothing to enhaunce my DH career as I have never met his co-workers nor mine as only a few of my co-workers know I got them because I didn't brag about about it to anyone nor did I show them off. No one has ever seen my natural size, or lack thereof because I have always used those super uber silicone inserts from fredricks of hollywood! My new "real" fake boobs are just a lit
