It’s fun to remember all of the fun times we’ve had! My twin grandchildren were born here, and now they’re 14 years old! Yikes! Thank you to all you “oldies,” whether still here or not, and whether you knew it or not, who helped me transition out of both the closet AND Mormonism. ❤️

.... I had read an article in Reader's Digest about the Mormons and their temples. I was about 10 years old at the time. I can distinctly remember reading, "the Mormons do not fail to anoint the procreative parts." I asked my mom what "procreative" meant, and she said it was about having children. Hmmmm. Did that mean Mormon women had their children in the temple? No

I remember you Decon. I read some of your book too. I told my best friend that the way you wrote, is pretty close to the way I think. Thanks, and I hope all is going well for you.

I'd give this more attention if the LDS church were true. But it's NOT. It's an abusive cult that f***s up people's lives in so many ways. These folks and others would do well to answer the more basic question, "Can I make Mormonism work?" Once they've honestly answered that, they and others will know what to do about their "marriage."

My uncle arranged for me to have a meeting with Hartman Rector before I went on my mission. I don't remember anything about the meeting except that Hartman sat at his desk and ate from a bowl of peanuts, the whole time. He didn't offer us any, and the meeting lasted twice as long because we had to wait for him to chew and swallow his nuts. Otherwise, as I recall, he was a nice guy.

That really sucks. When I was fearful that I might lose my kids (when I was divorcing their mother), my therapist emphasized over and over and over: YOU are their father. Nothing will ever change that. So, I continued acting like it. And that is what kept me going. Hang in there, Dad. Maybe this approach will work for you, too. PS, "A rose by any other name would smell as s
