I hadn't posted in so long. This phone call threw me for a loop; I hesitated to post - but then I didn't know what else to do but post. My therapist and I went back and forth about all of this today. My art has evolved - but it has chances to evolve even further recently - independent of this. I wanted to be past all this, but it honestly flayed me. So I posted. And I appreciate the resp

It's been a long time. I hope everyone who has been here for a long time has been doing well; I also hope everyone who is new is able to get some support to help them - to do well. Tonight was very odd for me. I was not expecting it at all. Mormonism comes up in therapy, but I don't live or work amongst Mormons - it's family. A TBM sibling called tonight because of family stuff. Medical stu

A Tale of Two Tours Part II: The Tourening Part One: https://www.exmormon.org/phorum/read.php?2,2252388,2252388#msg-2252388 En Sabbah Nur (ESN) and I woke up on a Monday to finish our tour of Nauvoo knowing that we would be able to see the town hustling and bustling about. We had gorged ourselves on the town’s food the day before, but what we hadn’t gorged on was the town’s histor

Most everyone around was white. All of the serving and wait staff were. The only exceptions were some of the missionaries. Just like unto Temple Square, the church can pull from its worldwide network of paying missionaries to showcase "diversity" in its most visible places.

There's not much else to say. The first time I was there, the waitress visibly pulled away from me when I ordered a whiskey. This time, a different waitress just needed clarification on what "neat" meant. The hotel it's hosted in has tried to maintain an air of "originality" to the decor; so, you have this white settler 1800's faux victorian gaudiness throughout. Dining in

Some of you might remember the poster En Sabbah Nur. He was often described as an “oafish buffoon.” And while that is true, he was and always will be MY oafish buffoon. Part of his oafishness has been an unwavering love of biblical scholarship in spite of leaving the church, whilst his buffoonery has afforded him a recent birthday. With our ages being similar, we have both turned “bitching.

Hello, RFM, It's been a while. I hope everyone is doing well. I hope those of you who are new, are getting the support that you need, especially if your exit is/has been rough and raw. For those of you who haven't left the board, I hope things are going well for you as you give your support to others. I don't have much to do with Mormonism lately unless I'm visiting "home," or wh

Cain is promised poetic justice. He kills Abel with a stone, and Cain's death comes from his stone house falling down on him. It's kind of like how Judas gets multiple deaths depending on which book of the New Testament you read.

And with stuff like this, it's usually the Catholic Church that is to blame. If something is missing and then found but not given out - that's normally the work of an evil Pope working in tandem with Azazel or possibly Skeletor.

It's been a long time; I hope everyone is doing well. I'm doing great. With the exception of family trips/holidays, I really only mostly deal with Mormonism as I choose, or as a surprise that usually ends up being hilarious. Which is where this post comes from. I've been working on a project about comparative religion and am still deep with research. Lately I've been reading Apocryphal and

Someone mentioned that I was mentioned. I'm good; I'm happy. Mormonism doesn't come up much for me unless there's extended family stuff, or if I'm meeting new people - and it gets brought up. The last project I chose to do had me researching Mormonism and Mormon apologetics for about three years. I'm happy to have a break - it's nice to leave it be when that's possible. Now I'm on to n

It's a spectrum. And it has more to do with how you feel on the inside. If you are a boy who feels like a straight boy - that's where you fall on the spectrum. Other people feel differently inside. Some boys feel like girls. Some girls feel like boys. And then there's feelings in between.

Last time I used a Oija board, there was all kinds of problems. We had to involve some catholic priests. There was something about Mr. Howdy. And split pea soup everywhere. Everything was a mess. Worst of all, I don't remember most of it because I was so distracted by beds jumping around and making the cross my girlfriend. I don't recommend using Oija boards at all. It's a board game

Potty words and tinkle talk has impact on families. These words hurt like being shot with a paintball. Please refrain from hurting families and their precious ears when you make movies with naughty body potty butt hurt speech. Especially those rated R movies that probably shouldn't be viewed by families in the first place. However, in this gutter world we live in, there is one company

Howdy RFM peeps both young and old, both veteran and new. I haven't been posting much other than the Sunday thread because I've been working on a big project, and it's finally done! I give to you, "Mormonism is like Totally True and Sh*t." This book took over two years to complete. There's a lot of research that went into this book, and it's quite different. This is a piece t

Outside of the little corner Mormonism claimed - no one really knows. And it's an oddity. Something that is outside the influence of Joseph Smith and the Masonic Rites he stole from.

I'm in the process of relocating to a new city in a new state. Which is exciting, like the lyrics to Zoobilee Zoo's intro song. "Magic and wonder are waiting for ." God, I hated those scary facial prosthetics. Anyway, I found a gym because that's how you know it's getting real with a move, and the sign up peeps were like, "You get a free consultation with a trainer and four
