I had my membership records removed from the LDS church in 2014, I now consider myself a non believing Mormon. I have Mormon heritage way back on both sides.

I love what your are doing, don't let anyone discourage you. How I wish I would have ran into someone like you when I was on my mission to get me critically thinking sooner, took me into my mid 30's to finally realize the truth.

The only way to look at Covid-19 deaths is to look at excess deaths compared to expected deaths which you can find here https://www.cdc.gov/nchs/nvss/vsrr/covid19/excess_deaths.htm Go about a third of the way down for the weekly death chart, it is very clear to see the deaths due to Covid-19. Also of interest is the excess deaths around January 2018.

I did it on my own in 2014 before Quite Mormon was around, if I was doing it now I would for sure use them. Simple and you know it will get done correctly.

This new YouTube video https://youtu.be/Klg4aj7C5vk which talks about the signs before the Second Coming of Christ is making its rounds with church members. The most fascinating part to me is the 1983 Vaughn J Featherstone letter about the second coming of Christ prediction which can be found here https://catalog.churchofjesuschrist.org/assets?id=3438179d-a8c0-499d-a2cc-82d6a239cef7&crate=

Below is what Nelson said at the end of conference last fall. The year 2020 will be designated as a bicentennial year. General conference next April will be different from any previous conference. In the next six months, I hope that every member and every family will prepare for a unique conference that will commemorate the very foundations of the restored gospel. -Nelson 2020 is the bicent

Great membership resource at http://www.fullerconsideration.com/membership.php with a big section on children of record, see below without the nice figures/graphs. Best best to click on the link which is easier to read and includes the nice figures/graphs. Children of Record Increase of Children of Record Definition: The number of children age 0-7 who are added to the records of the chur

I wish I knew what you know at 14, I was in my 30's before I realized the church was not as advertised. As weird as this seems consider yourself lucky. Have you read https://cesletter.org? Use your knowledge to drop facts about church history that can be sourced from official church resources like the essays which will get your parents and leaders thinking. Asking things like "How did the ch

I think a reasonable jury would agree that the LDS Church has and continues to intentionally misrepresent some of the key facts (not religious beliefs) in its history. The way the BOM was translated is just one misrepresentation of the facts when they continue to show pictures of Smith looking at gold plates rather than a stone in a hat. Just this one long standing misrepresentation alone would c

Many believe the true successor to Joseph Smith was Sidney Rigdon who was involved in starting the church now know as "The Church of Jesus Christ" who owns the website www.thechurchofjesuschrist.org. When you do a Google search for "The Church of Jesus Christ" the first result is the church Sidney Rigdon was involved in starting. The LDS Church's main web site is now www.churc

For detailed LDS Membership statistics check out http://www.fullerconsideration.com/membership.php, and yes only about 5 million active. FYI, The LDS Church leaves members they have lost contact with on their records until they are 110.

This is what I posted on my Facebook page: Interesting that the LDS Church is trying to distance themselves from the word Mormon. I'm sure many remember the church's national media campaign called "I'm a Mormon" they launched in 2010 that included TV spots, billboards and such. The ads referred people to the www.mormon.org which for now the church still owns. Then in 2014 the church

Would love some of you to read my Facebook post and comment on why I think they are distancing themselves from the word Mormon. It is at the top of my feed, I'm easy to find just search for Scot Chipman. My posts needs some comments from some of the great people on this forum, feeling lonely on Facebook since most of my friends/family are still active Mormons.

Looking for some good answers to this common question to those of us like me who have left the church. I grew up in the church and went on a mission, was well into my 30's before I really took the time to study church history which is when my eyes were opened.
