Yeah, D&C 132 says David and Solomon were justified in having many wives and concubines. In the Book of Mormon though, it’s an abomination. Mormon Jesus can’t make up his mind! Jacob 2:23-24 23 But the word of God burdens me because of your grosser crimes. For behold, thus saith the Lord: This people begin to wax in iniquity; they understand not the scriptures, for they seek to

Thanks Amyjo. Yeah, I think when I did a search this afternoon, it must have already disappeared (and it must have on all the other sites too because I cannot find anything). This kind of goes to show that Mormonism is really insignificant unlike what they would have you believe.

I've looked on CNN, NBC, ABC, CBS, FOX News, LA Times, New York Times and Washington Post websites. I cannot find a story about Monson anywhere on their front pages. Edit subject name: Not on front pages of the news

Scientists know their game. I find it very ironic that TBMs all over (especially ones from UT that fought traffic going up to ID to get a total view of the eclipse) get all giddy about this event. They believe these scientists that bring this information to us so we can know exactly when and where the total eclipse will occur. But when scientists say things that contradict TSCC, then the so-calle

The cult leadership has a hold on my family and it pisses me off. It has put a strain on my family relationships and I hate it. Over the years, I have tried having civil and polite as possible conversations with my family members about why I left TSCC and they won't listen to me or even consider my input. They think I'm lying! BUT...they will listen to and eat up every word that the top 15

I recently visited the newly renovated Church History Museum in Salt Lake City (reopened about 6-7 months ago). In there is a movie room that shows the First Vision and it says there were 9 versions of the First Vision.

Okay, so last night Richard J. Maynes of the Presidency of the Seventy tells of 4 accounts of the First Vision. I recently went to the newly renovated Church History Museum in SLC that reopened about six months ago. There's a First Vision video shown on this cool movie screen that says there were 9 versions of the First Vision. So LDS Church, which is it? 4 or 9? Will you please quit muddyi

A Stake High Councilor I know (located outside the Morridor) told me today that his SP recently told them (the HC) that when they do their ward/branch visits and speak in sacrament meetings to only quote from today's 15 and to stay away from early LDS leaders' teachings. This direction must have come down from the COB in SLC. Has anyone else heard of this happening throughout TSCC?

Well, there's that picture illustrated in the BOM and inside LDS churches everywhere where Alma is baptizing someone with no shirt on and he has his arm raised to the square.

I dont understand why they even want to appear mainstream. After all, didn't God and Jesus tell Joseph Smith that all the other religions are wrong?

Was speaking with some missionaries over the weekend that I encountered out and about. I told them what I really thought of TSCC. They were trying to get all spiritual on me by speaking in those soft voices and tried to explain how great JS was in restoring "The Church" because of the apostasy. They gave me the LDS run down of how all the apostles were killed off, etc (like I didn't alr

In Moroni's promise, it does not say to ask if these things are true. It says to ask if it's *not* true. It seems a little backwards to have it phrased that way. Have any of you had conversations with TBMs about this "not true" phrase?

BYU just beat Nebraska with a final second Hail Mary pass and won the game (at Nebraska). I reckon I'd better go to church tomorrow. The church must be true.

Yes, Nephi was commanded to pull an ISIS execution on Laban to get the brass plates that were to be handed down and ultimately received by Joseph Smith who never even used the plates for the translation!

In the BOM (2 Nephi 31), it says that Jesus would be baptized to show obedience and to fulfill *all* righteousness. In 3 Nephi 11, Jesus taught that his doctrine is faith, repentance and baptism. Anyone the teaches more or less than this and establish it for his doctrine, the same cometh of evil, not built upon his rock, etc. So, what's up with all the temple stuff?...(baptisms for dead, in

I have spoken with several TBMs over the past week about TSCC showing pictures of the seer stone last week for all to see. I've heard "We weren't ready for that info yet until now." I was also told "It really doesn't matter how the BOM was translated but only that the BOM was brought forth." Really?? 180 years has passed and they now bring this up?? The BOM isn't even true

They also have a fictitious angel Moroni on top of the temples. You'd think it would at least be Jesus, right? Just another obvious reason why folks outside TSCC believe Mormons aren't Christians.

Jesus never taught it. It's not even mentioned anywhere in their most correct book either (BOM).

Several of the Central and South American temple dedicatory prayers mention that the temples are for the descendants of Lehi (ex. Lima, Peru...São Paulo, Brazil). So, it is evident that The First Presidency has placed the BOM lands in Latin America and that the BOM is in fact a literal history of the people down there (I mean they are literally spoken of in these prayers by the FP). A TBM fri

https://www.lds.org/church/news/new-tool-to-help-returning-missionaries-create-lifelong-plans?lang=eng Anyone heard about this new program yet? I just learned about this today from a parent that has a returning missionary coming home next week. They told me that when they leave the airport from picking up their missionary, they are going to go to the temple. Is this part of the new program? Ar

Unfortunately, I was really not in company or a position to where I could say anything...BUT, I overheard a discussion amongst some obvious TBMs on how bad and deceived Warren Jeffs is because of all the polygamy, marrying young teenage girls, God would not have someone do that kind of stuff, etc. These folks were saying that Warren Jeffs would be excommunicated immediately in the LDS church

Had a conversation recently with a TBM and they were saying how inspired BY must have been to include elevator shafts in the SL Temple. They were like "how else would he have known to include those?" This was a sign to them that BY was a prophet and a testimony that TSCC is really true. I said, well if you want to internet search and fact check the history on elevators, you will fin

The BOM is an anti-Mormonism book. The BOM teaches a Protestant view of Christianity. It has nothing to do with Mormonism as it exists today. Joseph Smith and even today's Q15 say it contains the "Fullness of the Gospel". Let's see: -BOM teaches heaven and hell; no mention of three degrees of glory. -BOM teaches One God. -BOM teaches that God is unchanging (yet TSCC changes i

TSCC's formula for knowing the truth of the BOM is praying with real intent. And by that method, you can know the truth of *ALL* things. How about that missing Malaysia Airlines Boeing 777 that disappeared a year ago in SE Asia? It still has not been found. Can't someone pray so we can know the truth of where the missing plane is?

He and They will *never* do it, we know that for sure. These days now they seem to be talking about mistakes have been made, that there is church history that could cause one to doubt, etc. Funny how TSCC will not disclose any of what all those mistakes and church history are!!

Saltinecracker, I meant to also say that TSCC's burying of all this is still keeping its members in ignorance and causing family relationships to be strained. Another example of TSCC cherishing family relationships. It is so sad and unfortunate. I've had the same thing happen to me. Family will not read or even discuss the essays. What a shame!
