There are increasing numbers of articles appearing today that point out how bad cremation is for the environment. For those who don't want traditional burial, there are today three alternatives to cremation that do not harm the environment. They are increasingly readily available. They are: Aquamation Natural (Green) Burial Natural Organic Reduction I look for these to eventually comp

Near Death Experiences are only one of a number of possible indications of an afterlife discussed in these essays, and yet I have the impression that posts in the forum ofen gravitate to discussing NDEs when afterlife evidence is being considered. From what I've read of the essays so far, not all of the writers consider NDEs particularly good evidence of an afterlife, but of course some do.

Of the four gospels in the New Testament, the story of the birth of Jesus is found in Matthew and Luke, but not in the other two gospels. And the two accounts are different. For example, the story of the wise men in found only in Matthew and the story of the shepherds is found only in Luke. There are other differences between the two accounts. Here is a link to a talk about contradictions in the

I remember in the late 1970s visiting with a Mormon family I was friends with who lived in a suburb of Salt Lake City. The husband in the family remarked that he thought Salt Lake City was wonderful until "all those gentiles (non-Mormons) started moving in." Of course, since then many, many more non-Mormons have settled in Salt Lake City itself.

The Constitution was hanging, and God sent a Roman Catholic instead of a Mormon. I guess it doesn't matter, as long as someone from one of the two "one true" churches shows up!

I know a fervent Mormon man in my area who is a huge Trump supporter and who has said that he will never accept that Biden is a legitimate President. After reading the statement referenced in the opening post of this thread, he posted "Very disturbing." on a Facebook thread about it. I feel like saying to him that it appears that he is putting his loyalty to Trump above the Prophet a

Mormonism has been one of my hobbies for years and I used to take pride in what I felt was my accurate knowledge of what Mormonism teaches and what Mormons believe and practice. Sometimes friends who knew of my "hobby" would ask questions such as, for example, what Mormons believe about African Americans. But I've found that within my lifetime the Mormon Church has changed so much that

There are a few book-length treatments of the Mark Hofmann affair and I recently finished reading one of them, titled *A Gathering of Saints* by Robert Lindsey. Apparently Mark Hofmann had become a closet atheist by the time he left on his Mission but put on an outward appearance of a devout, Temple-worthy Mormon through the time he was producing his forgeries. Hofmann killed two people (St
